About Our Club

WCC began in 1962 as a club for women who wished to have a form of regular exercise in the local area. As the Waverley area increased in population, a children's class began, and has been running ever since.

As part of Waverley Calisthenics club our girls, coaches and parents experience a family-like atmosphere, with several social events as part of our calendar every year.

When our girls travel to regional areas such as Ballarat and Geelong for competitions we use it as an opportunity to get to know one another better, staying together in cabins and sharing meals.

Our committee is made up of parents, coaches and others who have been committed to calisthenics for many years and understand the changing nature and family ethos of the Club.

Our current committee consists of:

  • President: Dianne Fox
  • Secretary: Jane Scoble
  • Treasurer: Anne Simpson
  • Assistant Secretary: Maria Frost
  • Class Representatives: Honor Guinan and Anne Simpson
  • Coaches: Jan (Tinies and Juniors) and Eleassa (Sub-Juniors and Juniors)
Also very important to us are our parents, costume co-ordinators and props crew, all of whom we could not coninue without.
